Welcome to the Royal Rumble on the Rubber!

Coaches, please read through the meet information PDF as this should answer most of your questions. The duty roster will be posted during the week leading up to the meet.

 
 

 

Key Info

 

Registration

  1. Please pre-register your school as soon as possible (in April or early May).

  2. Also, you will need to register athletes using the 2024 entry form by Thursday, May 9 at 7:00 pm.


Team Package

When you arrive, the registration table has your TEAM PACKAGE containing the athlete stickers, meet schedule, and duty roster. Check carefully for your assigned field event. Also included in your package is a garbage bag. Please encourage your athletes to use this and the garbage cans provided.


Cost

NEW
$8 per athlete or $200 per team

Payable to “Lord Selkirk Regional”. Cheques can be mailed in advance or submitted at meet when picking up team package.


Duties

Schools will be asked to officiate one age category of an event. Closer to the meet, a duty roster will be posted — please check your assigned duty. All equipment to run the event is provided for you in the blue shed.

Surface

All-weather (Stobitan) surface for all events expect concrete discus and shot put circles.

5-7 mm pyramid spikes recommended, 9 mm permitted for high jump and javelin.

NO CHRISTMAS TREE SPIKES.

Wayne McMahon will be selling spikes at the meet.

Parking

The City of Selkirk has relaxed parking around the school for this day.

Staff present

IMPORTANT
Schools need to have a staff member in attendance as a supervisor for their athletes as per MHSAA sanctioning rules.
